• such powerful spells are never made without blood and death
• guardian is a charismatic name for such abominations
• even at the peak of their power they'd never been known to make a guardian from a werewolf²⁴¹
• they were destroyed every seven years to prevent them from having a presence outside of their creator's call
• using a werewolf resulted in not a true guardian spell; a binding that allowed the witch to share in the werewolf's immortality
• guardians were supposed to be obedient, incapable of thinking for themselves
• did not survive their creator's death
