Saddened

I am finding myself becoming devestatingly saddened by the fact that there is no copy of Masques for sale anywhere (in the world it seems) that is less than $130-$150. 

I want to complete my collection, and it won't be w/out an original copy of this book.  It's very frustrating.

A lot of us feel that way.  Unfortunately, something like 10,000 copies were printed, and only about 4,000 sold, the rest were destroyed.  So there just are less (probably) than 2,000 copies still physically in existence.  The good news is that Our Hostess is working on re-writing it for publication late this fall.

Now, the copy that Patty & Mike have loaned for reading is going to likely be on the road as long or longer than the wait until publication of the new edition, so we aren't adding more names to the list to borrow it, so we can't help you out on that front either.

That being said, this isn't about the Masques copy in question, so I am moving this thread to the "General Masques Discussion" area in Briggs Central.

Well, I scored a copy of Masques for $36.00 plus a few bucks shipping!  I really recommend putting a wish list on alibris.com, ebay, half.com and any other online book sites you can find.  You can set your own perameters for price and condition, and you get a notification if the product becomes available.  You are not under an obligation to buy, but when it comes up, you have to move quickly! I got another book I was looking for for .99 plus shipping. I've see it for over $100 other times.
